just fun

Engineer/Producer

“It’s not where you take things from—it’s where you take them to.”
— Jean-Luc Godard

Every creative project starts as an idea, no matter how small.

It might start as a word, or a feeling.

Maybe: A phrase, A sentiment, A thesis, A color, A character, A victory, A defeat, A melody, A beat.

Maybe the idea just came to you, or maybe you’ve heard it somewhere before.

No matter where you find your inspiration, the originality is YOU. Your project can be a unique expression, and I’d love to be a part of it, no matter how big or small.

Process:

From start to finish, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing an idea grow and take form. Each song, podcast, or audio book gets my undivided attention in order to grow, develop, refine and deliver a finished mix that’s more than expected.

Theres no single workflow or solution that works for each project. The process is completely dependent on the needs of the project, whether it be all analog, all digital, clean and polished, low-fi or a combination of all of the above.

Values:

My values are a guiding force in the way that I approach each client and project. They are on displayed and heard in each project.

  • Creative collaboration is essential to the success of each project. Striking the balance between engineer and artist is no simple task, but I’ve always felt using four ears to tell a story works better than two. Consequently providing guidance through the process as well as some creative collaboration yields the best results for working through the creative process in order to deliver a mix that is true to the your original vision.

  • Strong, meaningful, and lasting relationships built on integrity and trust with each and every one of my clients is strived for at all times. My clients and their project partners are viewed as equally important collaborators with whom we aim to reach end results that exceed even lofty expectations.

  • Ownership over the finished product is something we bring to the table at every turn. We respect our clients’ time, vision, businesses, and budgets. We stay with our clients as an invested partner from project start to project finish.

Story:

My journey in the industry started before I was pro, as a child, in aw of the live horn band playing in front of me. I was so curious about how the first note of a song could excite me, build suspense, and spread that same energy about the room.

From then on I’ve been obsessed with making and recording music, playing in bands with friends, and spending countless hours in studios or mixing at home.

In 2016 I graduated SUNY Fredonia with Bachelors in Sound Recording Technology through their distinguished tonmeister society, where music theory, composition, and engineering came together harmoniously.  Since then I’ve worked in various studio across New York and Nashville, building meaning full relationships with both artists and engineers. I currently operate out of East Nashville at H.O.M.E. studios, a great organization and network of creatives, producers and engineers. I look forward to working with you on your next project.
